1. Scope

This policy applies to the GrowGuard mobile app, web app, public website, GrowGuard AI, public shop, subscriptions, AI credits, TTN imports, and related sensor and monitoring services.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email, name, encrypted password, and account role.
  • Operational data: devices, aliases, thresholds, alerts, forecast, and settings.
  • Commercial data: orders, delivery address, company, phone, subscriptions, and AI credits.
  • Technical data: push tokens, sessions, and last login metadata.
  • Location data: the phone location only when the user explicitly chooses to save or adjust a sensor position on the sensor map. GrowGuard does not track location continuously.
  • User-provided content: images, notes, and AI diagnosis requests.
  • Blog and newsletter data: email address, subscription page language, source article, subscribe/unsubscribe timestamps, and minimal delivery logs.

3. How we use data

  • To authenticate users and provide account access.
  • To display live sensor data and generate alerts.
  • To process subscriptions, credit purchases, and hardware orders.
  • To provide forecast, phytosanitary logic, and calculators.
  • To support the sensor map, where a user-selected location may be saved as the sensor position.
  • To run GrowGuard AI image and note analysis.
  • To send blog articles to subscribers in the language used when subscribing, until they unsubscribe.

4. Third-party services

  • Stripe for payments and recurring billing.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
  • Weather and agro data providers for forecast features.
  • OpenAI and plant-analysis providers for GrowGuard AI.
  • TTN or other network providers when users explicitly connect external LoRaWAN integrations.

5. Retention and deletion

Data is retained as long as needed to operate the service, maintain billing and technical records, and comply with legal or security obligations. Users may request deletion or anonymization where applicable.

6. Security

GrowGuard uses token-based access, secure handling for secrets, HTTPS transport, and operational controls around infrastructure and third-party services.

7. User rights

Users can request access to their data, ask for corrections, request deletion, or contact us about privacy concerns at [email protected].

8. GrowGuard AI

Images and notes submitted to GrowGuard AI are used to provide the requested analysis. Automated results may contain errors and do not replace a qualified agronomic specialist. Users decide whether to include device context and saved location in the analysis.
